He is based out of Hyderabad, India. Outside of work, he is an avid trekker with a love for the outdoors.

Robert Layzell helps customers turn requirements into real business solutions that address their end users’ needs. He has over 18 year of experience in model-based application development tools, high-level programming languages and full-stack application development.

While he thrives on the roles and responsibilities that come with being a Software Architect, as part of an Agile software development team he is happy to take on any role that is required in order to deliver a product, including product ownership, coding, QA, documentation, delivery, presales, and support.

He absolutely loves engaging customers and listening to their problems and ideas.

Robert is constantly engaged in learning new and emerging technologies that are disruptive in the enterprise application space. He believes that learning new technology means nothing unless one shares the information and ideas one gathers, and hopefully inspire thought-leadership and innovation in others.

Kiyoshi has worked with Synon, Sterling Software, and CA Technologies, and has  devoted his career to CA Plex (and 2E).
He was the one of the last core Plex architects and is an author of ObVariableGroupX and CA Plex .NET-Client (WPF) and many other features.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t have a degree in Computer Science, but rather a degree in Agriculture Science.

Steve Will is the Chief Architect for the IBM i operating system, the descendant of the AS/400 operating system which runs on IBM’s Power Systems. Steve joined IBM in 1985, and while there has worked as a software programmer, designer, and architect at all levels of the operating system. In his role as Chief Architect, he is responsible for the strategy and plan for IBM i, is a frequent speaker at customer events, collects requirements from customer advisory groups, and he works with professionals both inside and outside IBM on future technology.

With an impressive college rap sheet, Marcel had already held three solid positions before graduating in 2015. With each position bringing their own unique challenges, Marcel has gained a deep understanding on everything from application development, to predictive analytics and cloud marketing. It’s no wonder that he’s now a solutions engineer for AXON IVY. From POC to implementation, Marcel has become the “go to” guide for AXON IVY. He received his degree in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Tech, and has over 15 years of experience with critical development projects and legacy production support. His expertise spans web application development, architecture design within Java environments, and integrated development environments. Gus has worked with web frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and GWT, and mobile platforms such as Blackberry, Android, and iOS using hybrid frameworks.

Corey Butler is a serial tech entrepreneur, Congressionally recognized leader, and technologist with a passion for workflow and great DX (developer experiences). His first notable role was with Discover Card, where he was a core member of the Decisioning teams that won a Computer World award for innovation in data management and design. He founded consultancies in Chicago and Austin, working on technical/organizational challenges for clients like Amazon, Atlassian, Dell, IBM, Sencha, and even TopGolf! Corey is also a top Github contributor whose original DX software is actively in use by 150K developers around the world. He is based in Austin, TX where he co-organizes the 2K member Bleeding Edge Web meetup at Capital Factory. He holds a B.S. in Business Computer Systems from Bradley University.

Gary was appointed Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the top-rated School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. Gary lives in Austin, Texas, with his 55,000-book library. He studied economics at the University of Chicago under Milton Friedman and is an enthusiastic alumnus, where the Hoover House dormitory opened early this century.

Matt Fleming has worked with integrating external applications with Plex for over ten years, including document imaging and web applications. He has been with CM First for the last five years, and has been working recently with AXON IVY to tightly integrate Plex with their BPM Solution.
Matt frequently works with environments that utilize multiple technologies and third party programs, bringing them all together to provide a cohesive solution. In his free time he enjoys camping and other outdoor activities, cooking, and learning about new technologies.

Christoph has spent more than tweny years in the IT industry in the areas of software development and project management. During this period he has held positions as senior consultant and development manager for several companies in Switzerland and the USA. Over the past fourteen years Christoph has managed CM First, focusing on the development of the MatchPoint Software Change Management solution and on creating enterprise software solutions for many different customers worldwide. Christoph holds a B.S. degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He enjoys skiing in the slopes of Utah and competitive cycling.

Andrew has over twenty years in the IT industry working in both the US and the UK. He began his career in the UK as a mainframe COBOL programmer, then stepped up to model-based design with Synon’s Obsydian product (now CA Plex). He joined Synon Professional Services in the USA as a software consultant, working with customers around the country. After two years, he joined Synon in the UK, then worked as an independent contractor for a number of companies around London. In 2006, he returned to the USA to join ADC Austin and then CM First, where he provides consultancy, mentoring, and training for CA Plex, CM WebClient, and mobile development. Andrew is a keen photographer and enjoys cycling at the weekends.

Jason has worked with IBM i for sixteen years, and he has worked with Plex 2E for seven years. His primary background is as a Systems Engineer, but as his career has progressed he has become well-versed in IBM i technologies such as RPG, (both ILE and Free), CL programming, and also Java Programming. Jason has also worked with SQL Server and SSIS. Jason is well versed in Change Management software, handling replication and HA solutions, has performed dozens of DR tests with companies, and he has worked in areas of Systems Auditing.

A founder of CM First Group in North America, John is a seasoned technology professional focused on enterprise software development. As an architect and project lead for Kraft Foods, John developed and managed large scale IBM i (CA 2E/Synon) and IBM z based business intelligence systems centered on logistics, transportation, and ERP. Later with CA Technologies and CM First Group, John has worked across different industries on the modernization and mobile/web enablement of CA 2E and CA Plex based systems. John holds a degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Master’s from New York University, and enjoys boating and wakeboarding on Lake Austin.
